Mechanical Fuel Pump?

No room for a mechanical Fuel Pump, the right engine mount is in the way. I looked into that myself, after 3 elec. pump failures on my "03".
The new Holly fuel Pump the factory is using on the "05's" with fuel press Regulator set at 5 lbs., is working out very well on my "03". I don't have the P/N handy right now but any of the dealers should be able to give it to you. Summit and Jeg's carry them and also most speed shops.

Good Luck,

Tanner Dog...
Since the motor mounts on your Kannon are on the front you should have room for a mechanical pump. I am guessing, but if I remember right from looking at my kannon I think you have room.

can a manual ol' fuel pump be installed in a 2000 zz4 motor...I know i'll look like hell but the electric ones alway gave me problems
I'm not sure that the ZZ4 cam has a lobe on it for the mech pump. I know some of the motors I have bought don't have one, because of the Fuel injection.

TD,

There are a number of good aftermarket electric pumps that stand up well if mounted correctly (vertical & away from heat). The pump being used on the '05 came from a few years of trial & error and a lot of owner experimentation.

Try the Holley or Carter and you woun't have failures.
