Anyone notice the Yahoo site has dropped from about 190 members to 143? I wonder why.

Could be that most, if not all the members of the Yahoo site, are also here. So why (even though I do) go back and forth? At least here you can include a picture with your post if you want to, and everyone reading the post can see the picture. Not like Yahoo, where some can and most can't. Lamont has done a real good job. That's my 2 cents.

Lamont......Kudos! :capwin:

Tom

Sounded like you got your bike back. How does it run and you go down and pick it up?

Adrian...
Yes I did and YES IT DOES RUN BETTER!! I got anxious to have it back so I went down and picked it up. The weather down there was 80 degrees by 9 in the morning so I rode it home. Man... what a difference. Now it will smoke the tire at will anything below 30 mph. Now I am trying to come up with an idea for paint. Would like to do something before Laughlin.
re:v8cycles group

One reason is that the Yahoo group is not adding members the way this board is.

When I started looking at Boss Hoss Trikes I did a Yahoo group search and did not find the Yahoo group listed. I did find this board and the BigBikeRiders board by using a Google search. So even thou I now own a Boss Hoss Trike I am still not a Yahoo v8cycles member.

Re: re:v8cycles group

One of the main reasons for setting up this board is so that everyone is able to read and post on this board. You don't need an invite and you don't need a membership to use our boards. It's my hope that dealers will use this as a tool for potential V8 Bike owners too. I know that Mountain has us linked on their front page and I'm sure that guys that are on the fence can feel a little better about dropping down that kind of money when they know there is easy access to a support group like ours.

I don't want to sound like I'm putting down the factory site or the Yahoo site, this site is just setup different. I was on the Yahoo site and loved the info and the folks I met there but I hated the way that site works. If you use the email feature it's not too bad but I get so many emails a day it just wasn't working out for me. Like you said it got to where you didn't see any of the pictures and the way that you had to click on every message to read a thread took way too long especially when every third message was a Yahoo ad. :?

I tried to join the factory site too but I won't give out my credit card number on an unsecured site. I made a couple of phone calls to the guy who handled the membership and I never got a call back so I just gave up on that too.

I'm really happy with the group we have here and I hope it continues to grow. We ride the most awesome motorcycle known to man and it just seems like we need to make it easy to share that with other folks. ;)
