I haven't been on the Yahoo board in months. I unsubscribed so I can't get back on w/o an invite (which I don't want or need). Just wondering if there's anything new appearing there that we're missing here? I'm sure a number of you go to both.

Still haven't figured why to use Yahoo with the limits on photos and all the damn advertising that this board can alleviate. Anyhow, for any of you double dippers, if you see anything of substance we're missing here, please advise. Thanks...

Zip, Nada, and not much. I think this is the place to be and seems we are doing fine with out every other word being a lack of a vocabulary content. Understand I'm not a bible thumper or some kind of a nut I just like to read good stuff about my favoite Bikes, with out all the crap.

Thanks Adrian. That's kinda what I thought. I too like to stay close to what's happening on these bikes but not enough to have stayed with the Yahoo garbage that was going on. It was more the content than the vocabulary with me. In spite of wanting to learn and yak, I preferred nothing to what I was getting on that board at that time.

Really makes it nice to have one board without having to go all over the place. Lamont did some job with this one and so far everything has been dandy including the members.

I along with my associates have been engaged in some very interesting projects. When finished and conclusions are drawn, I'm hoping this will be the venue used to share it with others. It's certainly the board of choice in my book.

Same **** on other board but there is a certain spontaneity about it which is not here. Post follows post and specific topics need not be opened, which I like. Don't get me wrong, I like this site a lot but I think the format of the V8cyclesgroup site is also excellent. Yes, there is bull**** there. I, personally, like to all three sites. Quite frankly, the added benefits of this site are fine but I don't really see a major difference in the discussions. The lack of pop-ups is the best feature here and Lamont has done a great job with pics, emoticons, etc.
There has been no further "bashing" there and all is cordial. I think, eventually you will see the same venom from the same people here. No magic in a different format. I miss your input there but can get it here if you choose to remain off that site. 8) Just my 2 cents.

Hi Joe,

Being the lazy creature I am, I just had to settle into one site rather than the double posting and such so...I'll just hang here. The advertising was driving me coco :roll: . There's some things I'd like to see different here especially the picture posting part . I'm too damn lazy to figure out how to send to a website and then somehow link it here so I'm doing no pics which I'd like to do. On the other V8 site (MSN) it was a breeze to do pics which I liked a lot. Still, the one site mentality will keep me here. I'm sure I'll get around to the pics one day.

You're 100% right about the format not having anything to do with the content. I believe there's a certain "fresh start" mentality here that has probably been the cause of eveything being as you reference, "cordial".

I also think there are a few guys that only have interest in the Tech section and this will benefit them. The emoticons are kinda fun ( :lol: ) and to be honest, that temperature thing that Lamont's done is a magnet for me. I end up surfing to see different folks in different places and to see how cold it is...and how lucky I am to be riding the Hoss ( :biker: ) when they're freezing their ta-ta's off, hee hee. Anyhow, glad you're coming here as well as Yahoo Joe. Best...

Hi Ya Joe, Merry Christmas!! Things have actually been quite slow on the Yahoo site. Also, somtimes it seems to take a while to "open" up to the Yahoo site when I click on it. I think the posting activity will pick up after the Holidays though. Now everyone must be busy getting ready. Anyway, It's nice to have a few places to "visit" while we hibernate for a few months. Don't know about you, but this Winter seems to be awfully long to me, and it just started! Oh well...Just have to take the Boss apart, and put it together again to pass the time.
