Turn Signals

Well, I have made a bit of progress with my Tri-Star module. I have the new one wired in and low and behold the turn signals work as a brake light like it's supposed to but I have no blinky blinky. I've got to call these folks tomorrow and see what's up. The last module they sent out had a bad output now I wonder if I've been lucky enough to have a second bad module! Oh well, I enjoy tinkering anyway but would like to get it fixed. Adrian, this was kinda sorta for you since I told you I'd let you know what happened. Wonder if I need a different bulb now that the rear turn lamps act as running/brake/turn? I'll get it figured out.

I wouldn't think so Chris. That would be cool to have the extra brake lights back there. Let us know the details like where to get the unit, how much and the install and all that if you would. Sounds like a good mod to have if it works.
It works

Well, I've got it working finally. Turns out my no blink problem was simply a bad blinker. Put a varied load blinker on and all is well.

Lamont,
I installed the "Tri-Star" from www.signaldynamics.com. It turns your rear turn signals into brake lights. The turn signal will override the brake light. It was very simple to install and the module itself is small and they provide double sided tape to mount and it is a water tight module. They also make the "Back-Off" products that flash on braking. I put the Tri-Star on the Fatboy I had. It really helps light you up in the rear. I think it was about $39. The first unit I got was bad and they sent me another one right out. Seem like good folks.
