I was reading some old posts about the heat and our trannys.
I know from a rider safety standpoint you really shouldn't sit at a light in neutral. If you're at a light and everybody has packed in and you're stuck somewhere in the middle then you're pretty much commited to what may come so sitting there in gear won't do much for ya. Is it better for the tranny if the bike is in idle if you'll be sitting for a minute or two especially in hot weather? I don't have a tranny temp gauge but it would seem like the temps would rise in gear after a period of idling. Never had a problem but have noticed after a couple of minutes in the heat the tranny feels mushy when starting out. Hope I'm not beating a dead horse here but just curious.
