Speed vs. RPM

Not having a Tach, I was wondering if I could estimate the RPM's by the speed. I have a 350/385, 2-speed auto, stock Avon tires etc. I have heard that in 2nd gear, it turns about 2300 RPM at 70 mph. What about other speeds in 2nd gear and also various speeds in 1st gear? Those of you with Tach's could help me out.

I turn 2100 rpm at 70 mph in 2nd with my 2 speed. haven't looked at 1st but believe 5000 rpm in 1st will get you to 100+ mph...Joe
