Found a nice replacement for these rusty steel block-off plates (SB intakes only, BB's don't have them). Made from 60-61 T6 - 3/8"aluminum billet . Available in red anodized, nickel anodized, or just plain machined. A real bargain for just $12 each. Add one dollar for the anodized version. Nice pieces...

Go to this site, and scroll down to "EGR" and "Shoke" block-off plate.

Got them today - man, these are nice! Better than I expected. The nickel plating is perfect, and they even include new SS bolts and new gaskets for the few bucks! :D

Sometimes little things can make a man happy

They look great Olaf . From one Toolmaker/Machinist to another I wouldn't waste my time makeing them at that price and quality . Good find . I'll order a set for my Boss .

Joe,
they cover two ports at the right rear area of the (stock) ZZ4 intake. The standard plates are silver painted steel, and begin to rust after a while.

Joe,
In the picture of my electric choke, you'll see one of the covers just to the left of the electric choke. The other cover is directly under the electric choke. I used a different "choke well" cover to mount the electric choke.
I'm going to replace that rusty one too. Nice find Olaf!

OK, Don...I don't have the stock manifold but the Edelbrock Performer Which only has the rectangular plate just to the rear of the middle of the carb on the right. Shows no signs of rust at all and maybe heavy aluminum because I have been in more rain on my trips than Niagara Falls and steel would have rusted for sure. Everything else that's steel has....Joe
Loafer,

Those are tits. I powder coated mine and they look OK, but not as nice as yours.

Finally I installed them, but I didn't use the (way too large) gaskets and the bolts. Some silicon sealer and rounded type polished SS allens turned out to be nicer :)
