Raw gas smell

I had a similar experience and found that the gas tank vent hose had come loose. Pull the dash and look up to the right where the vent hose connects to the overflow and make sure its securely clamped.

I will check. I changed the speedometer to metric so I may have moved things around under there.

For what it is worth, I was smelling gas a few months ago and checked all the "normal" areas for a gas leak. My gas vent hose under the guage panel had come undone also.
