I'm running my oil level between the two marks, should I have more oil in my motor to protect it on long curves like freeway ramps?....these v-8 bikes are new to me so I'm asking alot of questions,,,,thanks guys
DO NOT TRUST YOUR DIP STICK. Change the oil and filter with five quarts and then run the motor for a few moments. I hardly bother anymore because the level has never moved in 5+ years! I fill it to the top but really anywhere between the marks is enough to fill the sump. 5 quarts with a filter change is what you need and no more.....Joe
PS: Has anyone found oil usage to be a problem without leaks or ring problems?
