Hi Guys,
I'm planning on going to Myrtle Beach Bike week this year. First time. Any good suggestions of places to stay? I don't have to be in the thick of things, but not too far away either. If anybody can give me some info, I'd sure appreciate it. I'm hoping to get 5 days out of it, so I was wondering when the best time to go is. Beginning to mid-week, or mid-week to the end. Thanks!!

I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Express at Broadwayat the Beach. (www.basshotels.com) We stayed there a couple of years ago and it is nice. I booked today and I am arriving on Tues the 17th. The rate for the first night is 89 and goes to 139 on Wednedsay. I stayed at the HIE on North Kings Hwy (not far from the factory rig) last year and it was nice too and cheaper but I happened to notice they do not have a cancellation policy this year. You book it you keep it regardless. The HIE at Broadway allows you to cancel up to 6P on day of arrival and I like that in case something falls through or I find something else I want. If you've never been to Broadway it has tons of places to eat and a good bit of vendors at the Hard Rock area but it gets real crowded. I am no expert on MYR so I'm sure you'll get plenty of other choices from some others. Oh, last time I was at this property, they had the basket of white cotton towels at the front door for the bikes. I like that.

I will be there also ! We will be at The Plantation Resort in Surfside which is just south of the Harley dealer. Really nice place to stay with 24 hour security, golf course, sauna, indoor and outdoor swimin pools,etc. A little quieter than staying on the strip downtown and they treat you really well.. Hope to meet some of you all at the rally...

The rooms did go up this year a little. We get a two bedroom (king size) 2 bath with full kitchen and washer and dryer, patio and we are arriving Saturday and departing Friday for $1000.00. I split the cost with another couple, so $500 is not bad for an entire week and everything they have to offer. Phone number is 843-913-5000 for Plantation Resort,

Don,
We have been staying in Surfside also for the past few years. We've been using seaside rentals at www.seasiderentalsonline.com for a few years. The place we rent is large enough that when four couples share the cost its not bad. We get their linen package too, to save the hassel.
We'll all have to hook up and have a cold one, see ya there ! jeff

I think when the time gets a little closer to leaving for Myrtle Beach we should get together on this site and pick a place there to party for an afternoon and some dinner. Never been there but we have 4-5 boss riders going from Wis,Ill,and Mi. I really like the thought of a EYE-BALL meeting/party. Makes it more enjoyable talking on the internet when you know the person personally. Sometime in April, someboby take the bull by the horn here and pick a spot and day for Myrtle Beach EYE-BALL.
I'm really good at starting this ****...I always like someone else to finish it!!!! Yahoooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! Steve

Chris, (Ncbosshoss) suggested I try the HI Express. There were a few rooms left as of 2 weeks ago. Don't know about the rest of town. Let me know when you know where you'll be staying. Should be fun!!

The only reason I changed up was that they don't have a cancellation policy and I wasn't for sure on my dates. I'm at the HIE over at Broadway at the Beach this year.

Not thinking my bride likes missing out though .......could be expensive for me :wink: 8)

2 HD couples from our town, Neal & Beth from Mich @ KOA (BH trike) ...........and of course I suppose we'll be saddled with Steve H.
