I just bought the MSD 8502 kit from summit . While installing the module I came across two things that needed attention.
There was a clearance issue between the strain relief and one of the restistors on the board.
What I had to do was to trim(carefully) the inside of the rubber relief at a 45 angle, so it was not pushing up on the resistor. Not doing this put a severe bend in the circuit board as you tighten the three mounting screws..
The other thing was I spent time on were the 3 wires going thru the strain relief. When the vacuum was applied , the linkage wanted to drag across the wire(s), unless they are just so.. a future unwanted short to ground.
