Last week I bought a new Gold Wing, all white, and it is a sweet cruiser with some decent power.
Yesterday I brought home our new Honda Valkyrie "Rune", it is as close to a Boss as you can get as far as looks and folks coming up to talk about it. The ride is way out there in front of the Boss but the power of course is way short. Cozaey fits it real well so we can share the Trike and Rune.
I still love the Boss Hoss bikes but because of my leg, the weight, gravel and (certainly not my age) I needed a smaller bike

Adrian,

Congrats on the Rune........have only seen one in person at a show last year, but they are a great looking scoot. They really got the 'concept bike' on the street with that one. Let us know how it runs out

Speaking of the BH, I was at Marvs' last night checking out the change to a flat tire on the rear.......one big advantage is the stopped balancing act on the BH and the low speed handling, and then there is the traction issue. Think I'm going to change either right after Sturgis or right before and go to a 265 car tire on a 9 1/4" rim.

Also checked out the dyno sheet on those headers he was showing us in Osage Beach. At 6200 rpm it is making an additional 21+ hp to the rear wheel.......figures about 30+ at the motor. Right at 3800 it is about 8 or 9hp higher and the spread gets wider throughout the rpm range. The new header falls off way later than the factory exhaust. Also the torque and power curve is a bit stronger from 3800 to 5500 than the stock pipes. So once he gets a set in, I'll try it to see how they work out.

Say "Hi" to Cozaey for Vicki & I and stay out out of trouble. Hope to see ya in Sturgis.

Congratulations on both new bikes. Hope that even since you sold the Boss that you still find the time to hang around the board and post. I know you have a ton of good info to share ... CONGRATS again!

Hey, Adrian
Your comment about the weight of the Boss was interesting because as I get younger I'm finding a little more difficulty on the gravel parking lots. Although I don't want to give up the Boss am waiting to try my friend's Rocket III and if as strong as advertised I might consider it.
