Hi, my name is Adam I'm from Sydney Australia, my current rides are a lightly modded Vmax and 1980 corvette.

I've never seen a V8 bike but I know this is the kind of excess I can really dig, I'd love to get a 502 big block one day.

Just wondering what kind of performance a Boss Hoss 502 might have? I know these arnt "performance" bikes, but im sure they haul ass. Does anyone have any 1/4 mile times and 0-60mph times?

Sorry if its a FAQ but my quick scan of the board on revield only some 1/8 mile times.

Thanks!

Welcome

Welcome to the group Adam, I'm sure some of the guys will have that info on 1/4 mile times. We have several events going on (Myrtle Beach, Mid-South, Biktoberfest) so posts will be few for a while.....Ray

Adam...If 1/4 mile times are your criteria, get a rice rocket. Our problem is traction, not power. Pure mass is our problem in that venue. Once you can hook it up there is nothing that feels better and on the secondaries in 1st, it's a fantastic ride. The 1/4 mile discussion here goes on and on and you can sit there burning rubber while your Japanese competition smokes you but do a 40 mph roll on and you will know what the V8 is about...Joe

They are not, but I am curious.

I cant get over the fact that there are V8 bikes, thats the most insanely cool thing ive ever heard of.

Also, Adam...I had a V-Max which flew but sooo different. The max is probably faster in the 1/4 but get along side one on the highway and he's toast..
Yeh Im wondering what they are like in comparison- do you think the secondaries opening on the v8bike is akin to the V-boost on the max?

This won't be real popular but the BH is a great bike I ride one but had to spend quite a bit to make it hook up! I have had a modified Hayabusa that until the new engine, drive train, and tire modifications would have cleaned my BH’s clock. Now the BH is more my style than the Busa but going 200 on a regular basis is not the BH’s forte but everywhere
I go it draws a huge crowd—sometimes I get tired of answering questions—NOT!!

I am new

Was at Reno Great Vibrations and saw the BossHoss. Incredible bike.

Would like to know what the relatively stock road bike does in 1/4 mile drags. It apparently runs around 6 or 7 at 120 in the 1/8 mile.

Not interested in a dedicated drag bike.

I understand that the Jap bikes are quicker but none the less am interested in the BH.

Thanks for your input
