How's it running with the new cams and Carb Mikes work? Thinking about sending him my carb this winter. Is it worth doing?

The Bike is running great!!!...Put about 100 miles on her today and with a high of 60 deg. she was feeling real spunky!!! (Had to ride the brake because she wanted to GO so Bad!!!)....The carb is working good,If you are having problems with yours Mike can fix it up....If your carb is working good and you don't have a low end Bog...Don't mess with it!!....If you want something to do to yours during the winter I'd go ahead and put a cam in it.All you will need is the cam and some heavier springs(you can use the same lifters)...I think Mike and I have got the the ticket on the right Cam.....
The Bad part is I'll have to spot Carb Mike and Geezer a couple lengths now......And I guess I'm going to have to show you how to do a REAL Burnout !!!...Hee..Hee.. :lol: :wink:

Now that's what I wanted to hear :D Glad your bike is running good now Bro. So what cam and springs do I need to run with you? ;)
Here is the link to the Cam(You can also go to Comp cams and enter the Part# to read more about it)....The rpm Range is 1600-5400 ...And believe me it will make your Bike completely different and sound Ssssooooo Good!!. :lol:
The Edelbrock heads that I put on had the High # springs but you should go with at least 120#.....I think Mike said if you check your springs with a gauge and they are over 100# they would be OK...But the springs are cheap....The lifters are expensive but you won't need them....
I'm sure you have put a cam in before and If I can remove one and put another one in in 1 day anybody can....

Dave and Lamont;
Do those engines have a cam chain or gears??? If chain, is it single or double wide? Just wondering about a few things... thanks. Ray
Ray....The Small Blocks Have single Chain Timing gears.....Mine was good and tight so I didn't replace it.....Edelbrock makes a nice replacement double chain set-up but you will have to use a different timing chain cover or you can go with the gears if you want that "Blower" sound.
