I've been telling a few of you guys about the garage in my new house that I've been working on . When we bought this house this was a bare studded garage that I insulated , sheetrocked , painted , floored , heated and just tried to make a clean , warm , fun place to hang out and work on my bikes . It sure has been nice this winter to have this heated garage and tinker with my bikes and drink a few beers with my friends when they stop by .. Here's a few pictures of the finished product .

Floor Tile

Great Job. Is that floor the interlocking "plastic" tile? I have been looking at that stuff and wondered if you could jack the bike and not worry about damaging tile or not have a level surface? The stuff looks great and I want to do something but have not come up with the solution.

I don't know if Jacks floor is the snap together but I have 10 X 20" that we put the race car on and you can jack it up or what ever you want. The stuff is super strong and would work but it is much more costly than Tile.

Your garage is looking good and I can say they are sure nice to hang in and a pleasure to go out and play in.

Thanks for all the kind words . The floor is called RACEDECK and yes it does snap together and comes in several different colors . It's made of very durable plastic but it will dent if you drop something heavy on it but I've used jacks and jack stand on it with no problem . It has a textured diamond plate pattern on it . If you were to damage a tile you can unsnap it and replace it . The only thing I've found is that it is a little bumpy rolling on a creeper or anything with small wheels . Other than that it is very nice and is easy to keep clean . It's not cheap though .

Adrian ,

For some reason I can't see your pictures but I have seen pictures of your garage before and that's what inspired me to do mine . I don't have all the equipment that you do but because I retired as the manager of a modren machine shop , I have access to every piece of machinery one could imagine . But you would be suprised at some of the things I fabricate in my garage with the equipment I do have .

Joe ,

Of course my labor is free , but in materials and equipment , I probably could have bought a good used Harley .

Adrian,

I can't see the pictures either. Part of the problem might be the last bit of the URL. When I click it or cut and paste the whole thing it comes back server not found. BUT if I cut / Paste and then erase everything after the .jpg in the URL it comes back "you don't have permission to view this file". So I guess only yahoo group members can see them and then only after they fix the link.

So I think the link should read

You got me pumped up so I cleaned out my work shop/Garage. I have a heliarc, wire feed, spool gun, plasma cutter, Mill and is sure a fun way to work on Street Rods and bikes.

Now that's a garage . Beautiful Adrain. If I had your garage my friends would be wanting me to change their oil , lube or something I'm sure .

That's dam nice .Now If I had Adrians garage to play in and park my bikes and your garage to live in I'd be happier than a pig in **** . That's all I would need , of course Cheryl might have other ideas .

Conrad,

My garage don't look much better than your first photo. I have two small walking lanes on both side of the pool table that has about 2 feet of "stuff" on top. One walking lane is where I park my wife's bike and my new B.H. behind hers. The other walking lane is our entrance/exit through the garage to inside the house. Every time that "access" lane gets smaller, my wife complains. I've got to get rid of some stuff and straighten the garage. I started to do some of that this last weekend but decided to go riding instead.....oh well. What is life without a "honey-do list".

Sure would be nice to have a garage that looks like the two shown in this thread.
