Ford V8?

Is it blasphemy to inquire as to the feasability of adapting a Ford small or big block to a Boss Hoss frame and Nesco tranny? I've been mulling this thought over for quite some time. Once had a guy, very adamently I might add, even angrily say to me, " You'll NEVER see a Boss Hoss with a Ford motor in it"! Almost made me want to see to it that he would actually see one! Are all you guys die hard Chevy or is it because the Hoss can only be had with a bowtie? No, I'm not interested in a Kannon.
Nice meeting you the other night at Jimmie's Roadhouse Ellsboss.

Godspeed!

Why a Ford? What advantage over a small block Chevey that offers a million aftermarket parts?
Joe
High Joe, I was beginning to wonder if that was a REALLY stupid question! I have been a Ford fan for a long time. Ran my business for years with Fords and built a couple of 351 windsors in my shop. There's just something about the sound of a "built" Ford small block. Even more incredible with a big one! Be something different too. I wonder what would happen if Boss Hoss offered a choice? Yea, Fords can get pricey but what a gas. Not to say that Iv'e changed my mind. I'm still looking forward to buying a Hoss' here in SW Fla. Well, anyway, thanks for not blastin' me! Until next time... Godspeed!

I have meant to answer this question several times but for some reason I lost the post. If you notice that most Street Rods are using the Chevy motor for 2 reasons. One the 351 is 5" longer than a small block, if you use the stock water pump and the other reason the parts that is available for the Chevy engine is many times greater than a Ford.
Nothing wrong with a Ford but for the buck Chevy has them hands down.

Adrian
I see now that Kannon will even build you a bike with a Hemi if you want one .
