I just couldn't stand it anymore! Temp hit a balmy 42 degrees today so I took the baby stroker out for the first time since the steering neck replacement, new water pump, Holley Red fuel pump, 160 thermostat, PC680 battery and the pullback risers and new wiring harness...all went perfectly.
First of all, I have to thank Don Blixt for suggesting the risers for those of challenged arm length. They make a huge difference in comfort keeping your arms in a much more natural position. The 160 thermostat without any holes drilled works fine keeping it at just that temp despite the cold. Before, I would never see the high side of 150 in this weather.
My biggest fear after the factory neck install was the dreaded high speed wobble but she tracked dead straight at 100 mph.
Also no leaks and over the winter I forgot what a blast hitting the secondaries was.
