I am in the market for a enclosed trailer to haul the boss around. I will be pulling it with either a small block chevy avalanche or a big block Caddy escalade ext.

I would like to be able to fit 2 bikes inside, 1 hoss and 1 valkyrie or v max.

Since i am a novice at this do I need electric brakes, and what about torsion axle suspension. ?

I was thinking about a 7 or 8 x 14 or 16 trailer. I have seen the toy hauler 18-20 footers advertised and they look pretty darn good too.

Any past experience or suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thanks

Bill,

If you're going to haul a BH & another large scoot, I'd suggest 8x14. I bought a new 8x16 this spring and it could be a couple feet shorter. I haul the Boss and a Deuce...........but it will easily haul 2 Bosses and maybe the Deuce if it was reset fot the chocks.

8' gives you the width inside to get the tie downs spread far enough apart and enough interior width so that the overlap on the bikes is not so much.
I went with alittle extra height so I don't have to bend over getting in and out, easier to control the Boss. Also make sure you get a ramp capable of at least 1500#............the brakes and tandem just make your life a lot easier, the brake controllers are about a 45 minute installation.

Bill,

I bought an enclosed 7x14 about a 1 1/2 years ago, and love it,the only thing I would do different is get an 8 ft. wide like Tim suggested.
After you get a 8 1/2 ft. boss in there, there isn't much room left.
I've hauled the Boss and a Valk and the boss and a Fatboy a couple times and had plenty of room.,don't think I could haul 2 bosses though.
They can be fixed up with folding cots,AC's and shelves and make a great place to stay also,You should have no trouble pulling it with either of your vehicles.

Bill, I just got a new trailer this spring, 8' wide x 14'. I got the V-nose with it which added another 5' to the length. I haul a 2 wheeler and a trike in it. Both Boss Hosses. Tandem and electric brakes are a plus. My wife and I sleep in ours once in a while, like going out to Sturgis, so I had air conditioning installed when I ordered it and some other goodies. Theres lots of options and lots of manufactures, have fun.....Steve
