Who all is planning to go to Daytona Bike Week this year March 4 – March 13, 2005. What days are you planning to be there and where are you staying? Is there a place where you guys are planning to meet and greet? I don't have a place to stay yet and I know I've got to get moving on this.

Hope to meet some of you guys there and maybe supply a few of the northern boys a cold one.

We use to all hangout at the Highlanders but that was a bust for Biketoberfest. :( HDL has a booth at the Sunshine Mall just down the street from the Highlander, you can find me there most any time. If you want give me a call when you get there, I would like to see the bike.

New base

I'll be down March 4th -11th and I agree with Lamont. Biketoberfest at the Highlander was a disappointment last Fall. I'm at the Holiday Inn in Deland (Just outside Daytona on Int'l Speedway Blvd) this year. I just talked to Marv from Chopper City. He's going but not setting up shop as he said they priced the rental spots so high he loses too much money. Other dealers will be on S Ridgewood just south of the Highlander. MBH will be at the Harley dealer downtown again but it would sure be nice if someone with area connections in or near Daytona would coordinate a new home base for all of us (preferably near a bar for Steve...OK and maybe Conrad) Any leadership qualities in you Floridians? I don't think most dealers would mind being a little out of town as long as their rental spots were reasonable and had a large enough paved area (in the rare event that someone's tire would break loose).

Conrad
PS It's friggin 15 degrees here....please help us

I'll be down from the 7th thru the 11th. Staying in Palm Coast just a tad north.

The last couple of times I was down it was always touch and go at the Highlander. You might catch somebody ya know and ya might not. Bosses trickle in and out. I will drop in on Lamont at Sunshine Mall for sure. David Chessir of Houston Boss Hoss sets up on S. Ridgewood and Beville I believe. Same corner as Rick Taylor. I also hang around Milwaukee Boss Hoss. Great guys and they are at a bar! Also on S. Ridgewood and I forget the name of the bar.

It would be nice to get together with the folks from this board. Believe it or not, I've had more than one Boss rider snub their nose at me since I wasn't in their "group". What a shame. I know alot of folks don't like group rides or time tables but want to go and come as they please and that is cool. Maybe somebody will take the bull by the horns and get us together at least once during the week.

I wish I could get down for bike week, but I do plan on going through there the next week, on our way to Key West. Is there anyone here who may be "hanging around" an extra week or so? Maybe someone who is planning on riding on south after bikeweek? We are planning on leaving East Tn. the night of 3/13 (early morning of the 14th actually), and hopefully spend the night somewhere near Fort Pierce Mon. night (3/14), and on down to the Keys on Tuesday (3/15). I would love to meet up with anyone if they are still in the area!

Bruce & Debbie from Stamford Boss Hoss had their trailer at the BMW shop at the corner of Beach (I believe) and Main Street just before the Main Street Bridge. I am not sure but I think they may be there again for the spring.

So has the owner of Highlander Boss Hoss just taken a stand to chase all of the Boss Hoss Dealers (competitors) out of there and effectively all of us as well?

I have heard his name before but I can't remember it. Randy something maybe? Does anybody know his name?

I, for one, am going to call him to see where his head is at.

Bill,

I think it is Randy Epling(sp). I've talked to him on the phone before but never met him. I wondered how that was going to work out when he started the dealership.

On a side note, he got me back on the road real quick last year with 2 new tires.

Hey Chris,

That's pathetic on their part. Since I'm not in any 'group' that I know of, I'll ride with ya. Name the time and place, I'll be there. ANyone else wants to come, no problem with me.

It originally started BIKE WEEK 2005, but Steve got on here in '06 and started posting an dyou and 502 Wingman followed. I finally figured out after talking to GIZMO, it was last years thread and posts. Oh well, who cares what year it is?? It's all the same anymore when we're this old!! LOL
