Just joined the board this morning, but have been reading your posts for weeks now. I used to have 1 of the 1st 5 V-6's Monty ever built. Bought it in Sturgis in 1996. Sold that , bought a Harley and now about to pick up a ZZ4, will be glad to be back in the saddle again. More Power [email protected]!

Well I brought home the ZZ4 last night. Since I have never owned a ZZ4 before, I had trouble starting it. I had to crank and crank of the throttle, until she turned over.,.WHAT A SOUND...The walls trembeled. My fiance came out into the garage, smiled and told me that the sound of the engine made her all tingly inside. Is this a good thing?
Congratulations on your new ride Millionare....Your choke is most likely disconnected. I run mine with a choke but have the fast idle screw turned way down. Starts fine with aboout 3 or 4 pumps and idles ok after 30 seconds or so.
Congrats....You will enjoy your Boss. There will probably be a few mods to make, but well worth it. As far as the tingle :) :) :) it could be a good, if you can still scratch it.....

Modern living through Virgra! ya buddy.
1st ride of the season

Holy ****! I just got back from my 1st ride of the season with the ZZ4. I must confess that my confidenance level was at a -2 starting out. Being carefull to take turns wide, going slow and being the proveribal "Sunday goto church" kinda rider.
The ride was about 47 miles, both Interstate and local in-town stuff. I got the usual, cars & trucks pacing you, to get a better look. I got the thumbs-up and the head shaking routine. I also got a girl yelling out a car window at me, I guess just to admire the bike (ya right!). My confidenance level has ZOOMED to a solid 6-7 now, with all my training and 20 years plus of riding, kicking in! What a rush. I was so excited that I don;t even know if the secondaries of the 750 Carb ever kicked in. Perhaps that best left for my next adventure.

Congrats on the new ride ... sounds like your enjoying it like you should! Trust me on one thing - IF you got into the secondaries you WOULD 100% know it! :D :D :D Any pictures of your bike to post?
Thanks for sharing your "first" ride experience with us! The emotions that these machines envoke are something else. Early on in my Boss Hoss riding experience, I was told that "Someone couldn't punch the smile off my face" after riding my Boss.

It's kinda funny, I've had the thing for four years and I still feel the same way everytime I ride it!

Monty, thanks again for building these things.

1st Bike Night at Quaker Steak & Lube

Quaker Steak & Lube in Columbus Ohio had their 1st biker night of the season. Near as I could figure it, there were close to 1,800 bikes scattered throughout the parking lots, parked on the grass, adjasent resturants and generally anywhere they could fit!
At Night time I turned on my purple undercarriage neons & 27 LEDs (thank you Boogie Lights) and the crowd grew from the typical 3-5 to 5-8 wanna be Boss Owners.
Had a chance to meet Kaveman (mike) again and 2 other Boss Hoss owners (Ed & his wife on the Boss Hoss V-6 red trike). Was a great time, answering the generic 20 questions.....yes, no, gas tank hold 8.5 gals, back tire is a 235, it's a 350ZZ4 and yes it goes fast, stupid!
We are now waiting for the arrival of "Uncle Steve & Aunt Joanie"in early May, to return from Ft Myers Fla to rejoin our troupe, to go riding and terrizing the streets of Columbus Ohio. I can just see the hospital bills now from whip-lash from the on lookers turning their necks!
