Ok, for all you Daytona goers, i could use some advice. Never been there, know nothing about it, but started looking for a motel or condo on the beach today to reserve. What i ran into, was there are several out there, north south, main street etc. Is there a certain place that all the events or people gather, or is it just a free 4 all and no real place to meet up? if there is somewhere for events, can anyone tell me exactly where? i dont want to end up more than a couple of miles from the room if you know what i mean. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! glad to meet alot of you at the rally. had a great time with a terrific buncha people! dani

Never been to Octoberfest, but I did attend Bike week this year. Stayed at the Hampton Inn on Speedway. Very close to the raceway. A few miles from the beach, but got to Main street, and the beach pretty quick using the back roads. Only problem with staying on or near the beach is the traffic. Takes a while to get anywhere I found.
The Highlander is where the BH dealer is, and a lot of BH dealers and riders hang out there. Address is 1821 S. Ridgewood. Daytona Boss Hoss website is:

I understand Octoberfest isn't as crowded as Bike Week.
Hope this helps. :capwin:

Daytona Beach

Dani,
In the spring I stay at Perry's Ocean Edge as I like being on the beach, it's a short ride to Main street, and like Don said the traffic is bad over to the mainland sde. I dont know wheather the vendors are the same in the fall but they are spread over a large distance from the speedway to the beach. Mountain Boss Hoss parks behind the Harley dealer.

Dani,

Just to let you know, I don't think they were ignoring you hon. You posted that yesterday in the afternoon and for some reason it did not hit the V8 site until this morning........looks like they responded as soon as it popped up :(
