That is unbelievable - Jack has been such integral part of the V8 community...........His contributions, friendship, levelheaded attitude and spirt will never be replaced. I am a lucky member here because I had the chance to meet Jack s few years back at Daytona....a special guy.

    RIP my friend.

David is there any word about circumstances??

According to Stan he was having problems breathing and passed in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Jack was a good friend, great man and was very comforting when we talked, which was often. He will sure be missed in the V/8 community. I got three e-mails from Jack in the las two days. Our Prayers goes out to his family and I know where he is so, someday I will see him again.

I knew his health wasn't the greatest, but that came out of the blue. I'll miss his phone calls. He was a real character and a fountain of information

Jack was the best, he would stop by the lot when he was in Melbourne,I always enjoyed talking with Jack, He flew the helicopter for our hospital for years, Very seldom do you get the privilege in life to meet someone like Jack, and I feel honored to have known him. ........ RIP Jack

Prayers are sent to a good friend !! My condolences to all of his famly & friends. He will be greatly miss RIP my friend.. we sent e-mails jokes all the time. I will miss him greatly . This is a letter i sent to jack on 2/11 . The powers to be said ok jack said he will try to work on it .last time i spoke to jack he was not feeling good ,and he was going to see what he can do.I am writing this to a comment i read.... I would like this to come to be. This is the letter:

To Whom it may concern; I Brian Stack (brian54) like to propose a section on our V8 site called (Family Remembers ) to all our love ones and friends who pasted on .Of course ,the permission of the next of kin .I would like to see a picture of the deceased in happier times and the date he or she pasted on also maybe the age. a small tribute to the person by the family or friends. We as a V8 family would not be able to write in anything, only the loved ones of the deceased can, then send it to the administratorto put on the web site. The administrator would have sole control on that .I think it would get to long if we as a family would write in. The above mentioned is not set in stone but we would like to do something in this manor. We owe it to our self to remember our family & friends in this way as a final tribute of their everlasting memory.

    Respectfully,

    Brian Stack

I met Jack in Dyersburg at the last Boss Hoss Rally held there...the kinda guy you really looked forward to meeting. To me he was an icon in the V8 world. Prayers and my deepest sympathy sent to family, friends, and the members of this board and the V8 Bikers Forum. RIP Jack...you will be missed.

What a shock this is, Jack will be missed by all. He was the first V8 rider I met. I met him, Milo, and Tom at the First Turn at Daytona. He always rode in flip flops and that funny helmet. Prayers sent to Pam and family.

Beyond shocked.....they just don't get any better than Jack. He was the one that always stepped forward when someone had a problem or distress in their families. I am saddened at the news and proud he allowed me to be his friend. Most of you know of his service to his country and helicopter skills but it was not until I visited his home that I discovered his many heroic medals in humble display in his front room. I don't want to misstate but I believe one was a purple heart amongst the many. RIP Jack. Hopefully Tom or someone that is in touch with Pam can pass on our condolences and ask if there is anything we can do to assist her through this difficult time.

    Godspeed Jack
I am heatbroken! Jack was a good friend, I cant believe he is gone. Marilyn and I stayed with Jack and Pam in their home, they were great host. There is a hugh hole in the v8 world that won't be easily filled.
Jack helped me so much with my bike. I have often thought of him when I was riding my bike knowing my enjoyment was because of him.
Dear Lord Please take care of my friend.

I first meet Jack in Daytona when he was hauling the
beer in his brown beer buggy. This was at the Shell
station where Marv, Barry and Tim set up displays.
He was having Marv do some rebuilding on his Nesco.
I sat on the tail gate of that truck and we talked for
hours about bikes and being in the Army. The following
year he bought my 1991 BH (Kit #1).
We talked many, many times on the phone, I always loved
    hearing his stories.
This is a shock and a very big loss to me and the whole
    V8 family.
Condolences to Pam and the rest of his family.

Wow! Shocked here too. I met Jack in Miami (OK) and we talked on the phone and emailed a few times. He was keenly interested in getting a small R/C helicopter and I work in the R/C business so we had that in common along with motorcycles.

He also helped us sell Cheryl's Yamaha Route 66 a couple years ago to his friend Deborah in Florida.

He called me a few months back with some motorcycle question (that I can't remember now), but it was a pleasure talking with him.

    He will definitely be missed!

Our prayers are with Pam and the rest of Jack's family.
