Randy, we are SO sorry to hear this, and this is such a shock. Adrian was a wealth of information, and he has helped me SO many times as he has others also. He was definitely a diamond in a sea of coal. May God be with you and your entire family Randy. All of you are in our constant prayers. Myself and the entire Boss Hoss world have lost in my opinion, the best representative for Boss Hoss, and the most knowledgeable about our rides, and most of all, a compassionate and wonderful gentleman. Again, all of our prayers to all of your family.

Randy,

So sorry to get this news. Your dad helped me with many questions I had on my bike. He was a ingenious man dealing with these V8 machines. Always, willing to help out.

Hi, my name is Randy West, son of Adrian West. My dad thought a lot of you guys and thought I should let you know Adrian passed away Tuesday evening at home with his family.

Randy and Family and friends,

Deepest sympathy on the passing of your Dad from Gwen and me. He helped so many of us with our Boss Hoss bikes and trikes and no doubt in other ways also.

I met Adrian in person in 2008 when he took the time to come to the V8 Rally in Canada. I truly enjoyed meeting him in person and that put a face to someone whenever I needed to call over the past years.

Please pass condolences on to your Mom.

Prayers for everyone close.

Shino and I are so sad to hear of Adrian's passing. Adrian was a wonderful friend and an incredible wrench. He loved to fabricate, build, tune and ride Boss Hosses.

We had a lot of enjoyable rides and days in his shop together. Shino and I had a particularly fun ride to Victoria, British Columbia with Adrian and Cozaey that we still talk about.

We will miss you my friend and never forget you, RIP.

Your friends, Bob and Shino Posey

My deepest condolences. I will always remember Adrian as the person that above all feared not to lift up the Name of God - with whom he is now. A legacy of an example to many is left. I was /am privileged to have known him only via this forum for a short while... and I will miss him.

This was bad news to wake up to. It is no secret that Adrian and I butted heads constantly. Still, this is a loss to his family, friends and to those that he helped. He battled a terminal disease for far longer than was expected but it never seemed, to me, to get him down.
His was a life well spent

"His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

word that CLF said.

I'm sure each and every one of us has a story to tell
of how Adrian helped us, so very willing, over the phone.
AND he was always right.

What sad news! Laura and I send our condolences to Cozaey, yourself Randy and all Adrian's family! Glad we got to spend two weekends together recently working on my bike. Didnt know it would be the last time I would see Adrian.

Adrian will be sorely missed. He introduced me to the Boss Hoss community 15 years ago and got me all excited. I enjoyed having him work with me on my bike the last 10 years. Learned a lot from him. He will be sorely missed!

We had a lot of fun on our trips together. I have a pics link below. I'll add more pics to this link as I get time.

Sorry to hear of Adrian's passing. He helped many riders over the years with his knowledge of these V8 bikes. I knew his health wasn't good, but he just kept going. I used to get so mad at him when he would delete my posts but he always helped me when I asked. I know he was a Christian and now he is in heaven. Thanks Randy,

Adrian had a ton of friends and acquaintances. From building winning hotrods, running speed shops, running an insurance business, managing a top fuel drag racing crew team, riding in various motorcycle and hotrods groups and the last 15 years, the focus on Boss Hoss in his retirement and prior to that a lot of time spent with the VRCC (Valkyrie RIders Cruiser Club) and Golden State Valkyries. Even struggling with his afflictions and out of breath, we spent 10 hours over two weekends, me him and Randy trying to make a pulley work on my bike. Even when I, 25 years younger wanted to give up, he said, lets try something else, take the wheel apart and lets do it again. Larry Imsdahl can tell you similar stories.

When I got stuck in Carson City with a broken belt outside the bunny ranch a coupla years ago, and Adrian had just gotten home from being with us in Reno, he got in his truck and brought a trailer and drove by him self, age 79, after recent surgeries and illnesses at 5am in the morning for a couple of hours through the mountains, to haul my bike back to his garage. Merrill (MajorDad) had come out to rescue me and I was with Norm and we had a great breakfast at Merrills place and Adrian joined us. Then we unloaded the bike, jacked it up, gave me a used drive belt for free and got me on the road two hours later. I asked him how much I owed him and he said $20.....no amount of money can reward that kind of effort, risk and that example of friendship is irreplaceable and priceless. And thanks to Adrian's wife Cozaey for letting him live out loud so we could all enjoy the two of them together at rallies and other events.
We carry on and as example, attempt to pay it forward to our friends. Love my V8 bike and my friends around the world. Nothing like it! I would like to go out like him one..day. He lived until he died, bold, friendly and upbeat! Great example to us all!

A Few More pics have been added, from the memorial and from the friends that remain, who know each other because Adrian was somehow involved.

BTW, Randy West is working full time to do what Adrian was doing and has been hauling broke bikes and repairing many side by side with Adrian. Adrian has trained him and he can do a lot.
We plan to use adrians workshop through Randy for the foreseable future for us local California and Nevada dudes.

I have been out for a bit and missed the passing of Adrian. I am from the earlier days of Boss Hoss and could always call Adrian when I had an issue which were plentiful in the late 90's and early 2000's.

Never would he fail to call me back and when we were at the early rallys he would never fail to look me up just to say hello.

This news causes me grief as only the passing of a good friend could.

Thank you Adrian and Rest in Peace.

I just called Adrian today to get some help with my electrical system. Neither of his phones were active so I came here hoping to find him, not find out about him. He's the only one who ever worked on our trike. I would make the trip to Riverbank from Castro Valley, not just because of his knowledge of the Boss Hoss but for his warmth and generosity. He always reassured me that "it was no problem and I wasn't interfering with any plans of his" but I know he just made it work for me. That's how he was. I spoke with him this year on the phone when we were in Laughlin and he talked me through a battery problem. At that time, he mentioned going for medical treatments but never expanded. I told him I would bring the bike in after our rally but that didn't happen.

Let me take this opportunity to pass on our sincere sympathies to his wife, Cozaey and son, Randy. Karen and I met them both. His wife, warm and gracious, would pass the time with Karen while Adrian scolded me in the shop for something I did. Of course, he always fixed it with a big smile. On our last visit, we met Randy, who was now doing much of the work.

Adrian, I know that from the comments all over this board, you will be remembered by the many friends you made for years to come. Rest in peace.

Al & Karen Meadows
