Our 16 year old was goofin on a car at walmart and fell off hitting his face and had major brain trauma. He was a good christian and had a great heart. He passed 20 days after he turned 16. We miss him very much. RR

SO sorry to hear about Jacob. The good news is that he is in a MUCH better place but even hat knowledge sometimes falls short of easing the hole in your heart right now. Your separation is only temporary. For a better point of view ... Jacob is more a part of your future than your past as you two will be together for a LOT longer than you will be apart. Nothing hurts like the loss of your children but I hope some of these thoughts help you deal with your pain.

Reports like this rip me apart.... I can only think what you are going through. We pray for you - may you be comforted and healed by God. You are in our thoughts.

This is long one but hard to say in a shorter post.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I still say we have 5 boys even though we have lost 2. One at 33 with a drug over dose and one at 44 with hepatitis 'C'.
The older son was my Motorcycle riding buddy but we miss them both.
I have a very bitter taste when I am around or see drug dealers.
Our older son was a EMT, when they didn't use gloves, and that was the way he got the Hepatitis. He was on the liver transplant list for 2 and 1/2 years and when it came his turn we were excited to say the least. I can still hear him saying as they pushed him to the operating room "Dad don't worry a bit because this will be a win-win deal for me, If I make it, I win and if I don't, I win" He was a very serious Christian so we will see him on the other side. He had a stroke on the table.
I did get to see him at work one day when a 20 year old kid hit a lady from the phone company that I had been doing business with. She made a U-Turn in front of him on his crotch rocket flat cooking it. The bang was really loud you could feel it, so Allan called out call 911 as he was running to the kid all wadded up under the car. The boy was broken all over plus he had swallowed his tongue. He got the kid breathing again. When the EMT folks showed up he ask them to take over but they said you keep it up you are doing some good stuff.

One year later this kid came to our office under his own power and ask for Allan saying he was the guy that Allan had saved. Not a dry eye was in the office that day.
